The Beadnik’s Facebook Challenge

Here at The Beadnik, we are always amazed at how people come in and show us how they’ve used the materials that they purchased – inevitably, it’s always something different than what you would imagine or expect! It’s fascinating how we can give the same item to 10 people and we will see 10 different end results! So why not offer you prizes for doing just that!

Once per month, The Beadnik team will pick a ‘featured item’. The challenge is to incorporate this item into a piece of jewellery or an accessory, along with other materials you may have.

Rules

Accessory must have ‘featured item’ in it.
At least 50% of beads and findings used should come from The Beadnik
You must submit a photo of the work by the 28^th of each month (ie. by 11:59pm on the 28^th) – this will be done via Facebook, though if you are not on Facebook, you can e-mail it to us or you can stop in and we can take a photo of your piece, then upload it to The Beadnik’s page (www.facebook.com/TheBeadnik)
Maximum 3 entries per month per person
Design MUST be original!

Anyone, except The Beadnik and its employees, can submit an entry. If you are out of the Fredericton region but would still like to participate, The Beadnik is happy to send you the ‘featured item’ via mail. See ‘Out of region participant’ below for details.

Judging

Judges will be the staff of The Beadnik – each accounting for up to 25 points of the total 100 point score.

When submitting…

· Make sure you submit a good quality photo

· Keep the photo background in mind – if it is cluttered, we may not be able to see your item clearly

· To include with picture: name of piece (if applicable), your name, dimension of piece, Contact Info (can inbox us if preferred), can include your business name and information if applicable.

If you are chosen as winner you will have to email us the picture so we can print it and put it up in the store for the following month.

Prizes (Winners will be announced on the 1st of each following month)

The winning entry, as determined by the judges, will receive a $40 Beadnik gift certificate.
There will also be a ‘People’s Choice’ prize as each item can be voted on by the Facebook community - the one with the most votes will receive a $15 Beadnik Gift Certificate
And because every entry is worth the effort and time that you put into it, your name will go into a draw for a $10 Beadnik Gift Certificate automatically (one per entry).

**Out of region participants

We are happy to receive submissions from those who are not local! We can send you the materials required for their cost plus $2 shipping (payment via credit card by calling The Beadnik).

If your design is chosen as a winner or if your name is drawn in our monthly draw we can gather up the supplies you would like (to the value of your prize minus $2 shipping) and send them to you by post (your wish list can be submitted by phone or e-mail).
