Fundraiser BBQ & Yard Sale!

On Saturday, July 25th from 10am to 4pm, stop by The Beadnik for a yummy snack and some great deals! We'll be holding a fundraiser for Gracie (our resident beading buddy) as we prepare for brain surgery in the fall.

With lots to offer (electronics, clothes, toys and all of the wonderful things that people are dropping off!) and some fun activities (Bubbajane from Wee Can Too! will be offering painting for free or by donation) it's worth a visit! And yes, there WILL be beads!! The Beadnik will be liquidating beads and supplies with 50% of proceeds toward Grace's fund.

New Classes!

My goodness, we've been on a roll with new classes and new instructors (don't worry, your favourites are still here!).

Wire artist extraordinaire Cynthia Ryder is back for a new round of classes including the brand new wire bangle class. Also lined up are wire ring making and multiple skill levels of earring and pendant design.

We're happy to have 2 new instructors join the mix - Chelsea Ross and Kathy Mikkelsen.

- If you're looking for something totally new to try, sign up for Chelsea's wire crochet class on Wednesday, July 22nd (no experience neccesary, even a young girl did a wonderful job in this class!). The class is $30+tax, all supplies included.

- Try your hand at Kumihimo bead weaving with Kathy - a funky chunky multi-stranded bracelet woven with freshwater pearls, fire polished beads and stone chips. Phew, looks complicated but you can do it!! This class is $40+tax but includes everything, even the pearls!

The Beadnik is an independent business created, owned and operated by Sarah Smith-Stewart. As an avid jewellery maker for over 14 years, The Beadnik's bead collection has grown incredibly! The Beadnik began selling beads, supplies and jewellery at local markets in New Brunswick, Canada and as word spread, a need to supply out of province (and out of country!) beaders increased until The Beadnik's Online Store was born! Due to being so busy with the actual storefront however, the online shopping option is currently disabled (sorry, hope to be back up this year!).
